Vet Care

Training

As a certified professional dog trainer and veterinarian, Dr. Young is uniquely qualified to teach pets how to be well-behaved while their care is delivered. This may be focused on any problem areas- exam, grooming, taking lab samples, etc.

Should you like to start teaching your pet to cooperate for their care, the process will entail a combination of in-clinic and at-home training. The schedule for this will be discussed at an initial virtual appointment to build your pet’s best plan.

The cost of an initial 30-minute virtual consultation is $180.

    • Your pet’s history and clarify any questions

      • Your pet’s triggers

      • Your pet’s reward preferences

    • The potential for behaviors to be changed

    • Safety for your pet, yourself, and others

    • Specific trained behaviors that may help

    • Whether medication may play a factor in your pet’s plan

    • Whether your pet may need to be sedated for necessary care in the meantime

    • A written summary of the initial plan as discussed

    • Additional helpful resources relevant to your situation

    • A recommended follow up schedule
